Let’s Get Showcase-Ready!

The Spring Showcase is right around the corner—and we’re so excited to see all your hard work come to life on stage!

It’s totally normal to feel a little nervous or overwhelmed, but with some focused prep, you can step into the spotlight feeling confident and ready to shine.

Here are 5 ways to get recital-ready without the stress:

1. Practice Performing, Not Just Singing

Don’t just sing your song—perform it.

Stand up, add emotion, and run through the entire piece as if you’re on stage.

Bonus: If you have a mic, practice with it! Get used to how your voice sounds, the mic distance, and your overall stage presence. No mic? Still act like you do—practice the feel and energy of using one.

2. Be Intentional in Your Lessons

Your lesson time is your rehearsal space—make it count!

• Know what you need to work on (for yourself and your song)

• Record your warmups so you can practice them at home

The more specific and focused you are, the more progress you’ll see. Your coach is here to support you every step of the way!

3. Record Yourself Often

What you think you’re doing and what the audience sees aren’t always the same.

Recording yourself helps you catch the little things—energy, expression, posture, or timing. Watch it back and be your own director. This is one of the best ways to grow fast!

4. Warm Up Your Way

Have a go-to warm-up routine that fits you.

From breath work to gentle vocalizing to more advanced exercises, your warm-up should be a full set that prepares your voice and body to perform.

The goal is to make it feel second nature—so when it’s showtime, you’re already in the zone and ready to sing your best.

5. Trust Your Prep and Enjoy the Moment

You’ve put in the work—now trust it!

It’s not about being perfect. It’s about connecting with your audience, sharing your voice, and having fun. Everyone in the room is rooting for you!

We’re so proud of everything you’ve accomplished and can’t wait to celebrate your performance at the Spring Showcase!
